The Arjun tree is a medicinal tree & it belongs to Combretaceae family. Arjun tree, scientifically known as Terminalia Arjuna, holds a revered place in traditional Indian medicine for its numerous medicinal properties. Arjun tree is a medium-size tree & it generally grows on the banks of the rivers. The Indian subcontinent is known as the native of Arjun tree.
Arjun tree goes to a height of thirty feet, & diameter between fourteen to sixteen inches. The life span of the Arjun tree is more than fifty years. Its bark is of light grey colour & leaves are light green.
You can grow the plant by germinating the seed, within fourteen weeks it becomes the plant. Arjun plant gets mature in five to six years & start flowering same year.
Arjun tree leaves are in green colour, the length of leaves are six inches long & 2 inches wide. Leaves have a matt surface & lining texture that makes conical shapes.
Arjun tree leaves are consumed by Antheraea paphia moth they produce quality silk.
Arjun Tree Flowering season is June to March & the flowers are in yellow-white in colour. Arjun tree fruit is divided into five parts by hard wings. Fruit colour is light green.
