Botanical Name – Vachellia Nilotica

Babool is a  shady tree & its branches are full of long sharp thorns. Babool tree attains the height of 30 to 40 feet & stem diameter of 10 to 12 inches. It shaped like an umbrella. Babul is from Fabaceae family.

Babool tree leaves colour is green. 

Babool tree fruit is like long beans, it is green in colour when raw & pale yellow when ripe. 

Babool flowers are yellow & round in shape. Flowers are available all the year &  Babool bark is brown in colour & have plain surface.

Babool tree belong to Indian sub-continent & found in Africa & Arab countries. Sandy & dry soil suits its requirement.

The Babul tree uses has medicinal values too as its bark, leaves, flowers & seeds used for treating various diseases like gum problems, eczema, skin treatment, eye pain, toothache & jaundice. Leaves of babool are used for treating hair loss.
