The Morus alba tree is a small tree in round shape & is known as the native of China. Morus alba tree belongs to the mulberry family. Morus alba has various varieties, small to big & red to black. Morus alba tree lives for more than fifty years.

Morus alba tree goes to a height of twenty to thirty feet, & diameter of six to eight inches diameter. 

Morus alba tree bark is grey in color & leaves are dark green in color. 

Soft branches of the tree are used to make baskets which are used for various storing purposes.

Warm temperatures most suit Morus alba & it prefers sandy soils to grow well. You can carry out the plantation in July month, fruiting starts within five to six years. Morus alba tree gets mature fifteen to twenty years for full yielding harvest.

Morus alba leaves are heart shape & edges are teeth-like shape. Leaves are four inches long & two inches wide with linings. Morus alba leaves are the feed of silkworms.  Its flowers are tiny & grow dense later develop in small sweet fruit.

The Morus alba fresh fruit can be consumed, & it edible & tastes sweet. Mulberries are juicy & it is not suitable to store them for long due to rich liquid.

White mulberry leaves are used to feed goats where dry seasons availability of ground vegetation is less.

In the Korean region, tree leaves are used to prepared tea & wine is also prepared by fruit.

Fruits, roots, & leaves of Morus alba are good for the treatment of dizziness, insomnia, premature ageing.
