Banana tree is tall & well build. Banana tree trunk is actually a tightly packed overlapping of leaf sheaths. Banana is the largest consumed herbaceous fruit. The banana plant grows from the roots of the stem.
Banana is rich in potassium & calcium which make it a complete food.
In India, it is consumed at large in fasting, & it is easily available fruit. Banana belongs to the Musaceae family.

The banana tree may height up to fifteen to twenty feet, depending on its varieties, & diameter up to fourteen inches.

Banana leaves are arranged in springy form. The Colour of the leaves is light green to dark & long in size. Banana leaves are quite long up to six feet long &, eighteen inches wide.

In Southern parts of India, banana leaves are used to serve food (commercial & domestic) & in weddings rituals, banana leaves presence is a must. 
Food served on banana leaves is considered to be much more hygienic than on plates. Leaves are used to make food packets too.

Banana flower's pink-colored bud extends downwards as the new small bananas grow. Gradually with time, the fingers develop in full-size banana. Initially, bananas are in green color & change their color to yellow on ripening. Green bananas are kept for three to four days to ripen.

Sweet, softer yellow banana is easier to digest. Yellow banana contains more antioxidants as compared to the green ones. Bananas are full of good carbs which are especially required post-workout, & these carbs repair your muscles well.

In Southern India green bananas are used to make chips, vegetables many types of desserts.
