Guava tree grows to a height of fifteen to twenty feet, & diameter six to eight inches. Guava tree life span is around forty years. Guava Bark is smooth & pinkish-brown in colour.
Guava can be grown by root's sapling or by grafting. Guava starts giving fruit within three to four years of cultivation.
It can be planted in all types of soils & may resist extra moist conditions too.
Guava leaves are of light green colour, & up to five inches long have oval shape. Leaves have a rough surface & lining within. "Guava leaves are chewed empty stomach to treat stomach worms". Guava white flowers are one inch wide & have a sweet smell that attracts honey bees. Guava tree blossom twice a year in early spring, & July. Guava fruit colour is dark green when raw, & changes its colour to light green than to golden yellow when fully ripe. When guava ripe it gives an aromatic smell.In four to five months fruits start ripening. Guavas ripe on the trees have a much better taste but consumed largely when changing colour to light green. It’s an indication of ripening.
Guava have thin outer layer & below that has grain textured pulp, inside the pulp there is a ball of seeds that are edible.

Guava is one of the best seasonal fruit it is consumed in many ways: mixed fruit salads, sliced, guava fruit jam, guava juice & fruit chats.
