Botanical Name – Carica papaya

Papaya is a small tree which have a straight trunk & produce fruit name papaya which is yellow in colour. Papaya is an edible fruit & have in breakfast widely. It is good to appetite. Papaya is from the American region & cultivated in warm climate areas. It is from the family of Caricaceae.

Papaya tree height between eighteen to twenty-four feet, & diameter six to ten inches. Papaya tree leaves are very large & wide.

Papaya can be grown by seed, December is the best time to sow the seeds. 

The seed germinates within a month & it takes seven to nine to become a tree. 

Papaya tree needs drained soil & it can not tolerate much moisture. Papaya tree likes sunny weather. Papaya tree needs more water but can tolerate watery roots, Papaya tree has shallow roots.

Papaya tree leaves are quite big as compared to other trees & make an umbrella shape. Leaves are connected by a hollow petiole to tree stem.Papaya leaf juice mixed with honey is recommended in dengue fever it improves the health conditions very fast.

Papaya tree blooms throughout the year & the colour of the flowers are white. In nine to eleven months you can take the harvest. 

Papaya fruit is green when raw & becomes yellow when ripe. Papaya pulp is fibrous & juicy. Papaya is exotic fruit & mostly it is available in all the seasons.

Papaya has dozens of black pepper size black seeds & it keeps our intestines healthy.

Papaya can be consumed in mix fruit salad, it is healthy breakfast & a snack.
